The Challenge with Deleted Listings on Etsy
Etsy currently doesn't provide a straightforward way to check if a listing has been deleted using its API. This means there's no automated method for us to know when you remove a listing from your listing table on Artelo for listings that have been deleted from your Etsy store.
What Happens in Artelo
Since we can't detect deletions automatically:
Manually Deleted Listings May Still Show in Artelo: Even if you've removed a listing from Etsy, it may remain visible in Artelo.
What Happens When You Try to Publish Changes: If you attempt to publish or update a manually deleted listing from Artelo, you’ll see an error notification that the listing has been deleted in Etsy
This error happens because Artelo recognizes the listing has been deleted from Etsy only when you try to update it.
How to Fix It
If you try to publish changes to a deleted listing:
You’ll Be Prompted to Recreate the Listing: Artelo will ask you to recreate the listing so it can be re-created from scratch with Etsy.
Avoid Publishing Deleted Listings: To avoid errors, we recommend manually removing deleted listings from your Artelo dashboard.
