General Tips for Creating Samples
Reflect the Final Customer Experience - Create samples that closely match the products your customers will receive. Use the same artwork, dimensions, paper types, and framing options to accurately evaluate the quality and presentation.
Add Branding for the Full Experience - Include your custom packaging inserts and stickers to simulate the unboxing experience your customers will have.
Compare Paper Types - To understand the differences between paper types, create samples of the same design on multiple papers. This allows you to compare and contrast the look and feel of each option and decide which best represents your brand.
Test Different Frame Options - If you offer framed products, sample different frame colors, materials, or styles to see how your designs look in various configurations.
Order Enough Variety - Consider creating a range of samples that showcase your best designs across different configurations.
How do free samples work and what are production credits?
We often provide production credits to new customers so they can try our samples with no risk. These credits can be used to order any products in Artelo.
Interested in Production Credits? Contact us, and we’ll gladly discuss providing credits for your samples.
How Production Credits Work
We often provide production credits to new customers so they can try our samples with no financial risk. These credits can be used to order framed and unframed prints, helping you explore different options and ensure Artelo is the right fit for your needs. Artelo credits are manually added to your account and are automatically applied at checkout.
The Sample Creation Process
Creating samples in Artelo is straightforward because it’s the same as creating a manual order. Follow the steps below to create your samples:
Go to the Product Catalog
Click on Product Catalog in your Artelo account.
Create a Product Set
Select Create Product Set to start.
Choose the paper type, framing options, and sizes you want to sample.
Upload Files
Drag your artwork files into the Uploads Library.
Ensure the file dimensions match the chosen product size. Align and adjust the artwork to cover the bleed area (indicated by the red outline).
Preview the Product
Use the preview feature to confirm that the design fits perfectly and looks as intended.
Finalize the Product
Name your product (e.g., "Sample 1").
Click Finalize Product, then go to My Products to find your created sample.
Add to Cart
Select the products you want to sample on the My Products page (e.g., different paper types or framing options).
Add them to your cart and proceed to checkout.
Brand Your Samples (Optional but highly recommended)
Upload a branded packaging insert or stickers on the Branding Page to enhance your sample presentation.
How long does it take to receive samples?
Samples are treated exactly the same as any other order in Artelo. This means it will take around 1-2 business days for fulfillment and another 2-5 days to reach you, depending on where you are shipping to.
