Why Create Samples?

Artelo makes it easy to try out our products before offering them to your customers. Samples let you:

  • Reflect the final customer experience – Match the products your customers will receive by using the same artwork, dimensions, paper types, and framing options.

  • Add branding for the full effect – Include your custom packaging inserts and stickers to simulate the unboxing experience.

  • Compare paper types – Create the same design on multiple papers to see which best represents your brand.

  • Test frame options – Sample different frame colors, materials, or styles.

  • Show variety – Order a range of your best designs in different configurations.

How do free samples work, and what are production credits?

We often provide production credits to new customers so they can try samples with no risk. Credits can be used to order any framed or unframed products in Artelo. They’re manually added to your account and automatically applied at checkout.

If you’re interested in receiving credits, contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss options.

Option 1: Creating a New Product and Ordering It as a Sample

Use this method to create a new product in Artelo that will be saved in your Artelo account.

  1. Go to the Product Catalog

    • Click on Product Catalog in your Artelo account.

  2. Create a Product Set

    • Select Create Product Set to start.

    • Choose the paper type, framing options, and sizes you want to sample.

  3. Upload Files

    • Drag your artwork files into the Uploads Library.

    • Ensure the file dimensions match the chosen product size. Align and adjust the artwork to cover the bleed area indicated by the red outline.

  4. Preview the Product

    • Use the preview tool to confirm the design fits and looks correct.

  5. Finalize the Product

    • Name your product (e.g., "Sample 1").

    • Click Finalize Product, then go to the My Products page to find your created sample.

  6. Add to Cart

    • Select the products you want to sample on the My Products page (e.g., different paper types or framing options).

    • Add them to your cart and proceed to checkout.

  7. Brand Your Samples (Optional but recommended)

    • Upload a branded packaging insert or stickers on the Branding Page to enhance your sample presentation.

  8. Checkout

    • Add additional items if needed or proceed to your cart to check out.

    • Select your shipping address, choose your payment method, and click Complete Order.

Option 2: Creating a Quick One-Time Sample

Use this method if you only need a sample for immediate review and do not want the product saved in your Artelo account.

  1. Go to the Orders Page

    • Click Create Order.

  2. Create a One-Time Product

    • Choose Create a One-Time Product.

    • Select the product type from the Product Catalog.

  3. Choose Options

    • Pick your paper type, framing options, and sizes.

  4. Upload Artwork

    • Go to Uploads, upload your art, and add it to the canvas.

    • Click Done.

  5. Checkout

    • Your sample will appear in your cart.

    • Add additional items if needed or proceed to checkout.

    • Select your shipping address, choose your payment method, and click Complete Order.

How Long Does It Take to Receive Samples?

Samples are fulfilled just like any other Artelo order. Production typically takes 1–2 business days, plus 2–5 days for shipping, depending on your location.
