Ordering Samples in Artelo

Ordering samples through Artelo is straightforward, allowing you to experience the quality of your prints and frames exactly as your customers would. You can order samples in two ways:

  • Option 1 – Create a new product that stays saved in your account for future use.

  • Option 2 – Create a quick one-time product that isn’t saved in your account.

Check for Sample Credits (Applies to Both Options)

If you’ve received free sample credits, you’ll find them in your account under notifications.

  • Navigate to the notifications section to confirm the addition of sample credits.

  • These credits will automatically apply when you place your sample order.

Option 1: Create a New Product and Order It as a Sample (Saved for Future Use)

Use this method to create a new product in Artelo that will be saved in your Artelo account.

  1. Go to the Product Catalog:
Begin by selecting the product type you’d like to sample. For instance, choose unframed posters, framed prints, or other options. After you've chosen, click "Create Product Set."

  2. Create a Product Set:

    • Select your desired specifications, such as paper type, size, and framing options.

    • For example, you can create a set with one unframed poster and one framed print in two sizes.

  3. Upload Your Design

    • Drag and drop your prepared design file into the uploader.

    • Ensure your design meets Artelo's recommended DPI (preferably above 200) to maintain high-quality results.

    • Adjust for Bleed Area: Ensure your design fully covers the bleed area (marked in red). If it doesn’t, Artelo will flag it, and you’ll need to adjust accordingly.

  4. Preview and Finalize:

    • Use the preview tool to see how your design will appear on the selected product.

    • Click “Finalize Product," enter a name, and click "Done."

    • If you're finished creating samples, click "Create an order for this product" and proceed to step 5.

    • If you want to continue creating samples, click "I'll do it later."

  5. Add Samples to your Cart

    • Select Products:

Visit the "My Products" page. Click the three dots next to each product from your product library and select “Add to Cart.”

Choose specific options to test (e.g., an unframed poster or a framed print in different sizes) and select "Add to cart."

Option 2: Create a Quick One-Time Product (Not Saved)

Use this method if you only need a sample for immediate review and do not want the product saved in your Artelo account.

  1. Go to the Orders Page

    • Click Create Order.

    • Select Create a One-Time Product and add your product type.

  2. Choose Options

    • Select product type, paper, size, and framing options.

  3. Upload Artwork

    • Use Uploads to add your file.

    • Position it on the canvas and click Done.

  4. Add to Cart

    • Your sample will be added to your cart automatically.

Completing Your Order (Both Options)

  1. Customize Branding:

    • To simulate the customer unboxing experience, add branded inserts and stickers to your sample order on the "Branding" page. This gives you a realistic sense of how your final products will be received.

  2. Proceed to Checkout or Navigate to Your Cart:

    • Review your cart to ensure all desired samples are included and select "check out."

    • Input your shipping address.

  3. Apply Sample Credits:

    • If sample credits are available, they will automatically be deducted from your total.

  4. Place Your Order:

    • Click “Complete Order” to send your sample request to production.

Track Your Order

  1. Go to the Orders Page to see the order status.

  2. Once shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details.

Tips for a Successful Sample Experience

  • Prepare Your Designs – Use high-quality files that meet Artelo’s specifications.

  • Include Branding – Adds realism to the unboxing experience.

  • Test Variations – Order different configurations to compare paper, size, and frame options.
