In this final step, we use the previously created product sets to connect to existing listings on a different shop.

In this final step of the tutorial, we’ll walk through how to connect listings using existing product sets. This is useful when you’ve already created and connected product sets on one store, like Etsy, and now want to reuse them on another store, like Shopify.

Instead of generating new product sets, we’ll repeat the Product Set Creation and Update Listings steps, but this time we’ll check the “Connect using existing product sets” box. This tells Artelo to skip product creation and instead link listings directly to the product sets you've already built.

Step 1: Assign Existing Product Sets

Generate Your Excel File

Go to the Bulk Connect Listings flow on Artelo and select the store you want to connect (in this case, Shopify). Then check "Connect using existing product sets" and click Generate.

This file now includes a new “Product Sets” tab, which lists all the product sets available to connect. You’ll reference this tab to match the exact product set names in the “Listings” tab.

Fill Out the Listings Tab

For each listing you want to connect:

  • In the Operation column, enter: Update

  • In the Product Set Name column, enter the exact product set name from the “Product Sets” tab that corresponds to this listing.

  • Note that there is no template column since we're not creating any new product sets.

Note: Do not change any other fields in the file. Rows left blank will be ignored. Product set names must match exactly.

Step 2: Review Listing Details

Once your listings are assigned to product sets, download the Update Listings file just like before.

This file is structured the same way, with editable fields for titles, descriptions, tags, shipping profiles, personalization, and more.

Understanding the File

  • Group 1 – Listing Identifiers: Reference info only

  • Group 2 – Listing Updates: Editable fields where template settings were applied

  • Group 3 – Original Listing Values: The original data before changes

What You Can Update

  • Titles & Descriptions: Customize as needed

  • Tags: Add tags if missing or import existing ones from the reference column

  • Shipping Profiles: Confirm or change as necessary

  • Option Names & Personalization: Adjust these based on your preferences

  • SKU Prefix: Add a prefix for listings without existing SKUs

Submit and Finalize

After reviewing the file, upload it and click Submit. You’ll be prompted to confirm your changes.

⚠️ Important: Review Before Uploading
Clicking “Yes” will apply all changes and connect listings to the specified product sets. No new products will be created. We strongly recommend starting with a single listing, then a small batch, to confirm everything looks correct before proceeding with larger updates.

Wrapping Up

During this process, Artelo will connect your listings to the product sets you previously created. These product sets are marked as “draft connected” until you upload the design file. Once the first order comes in, you’ll be prompted to upload the artwork. From that point forward, all orders will be automatically fulfilled.

You’re All Set!

Your second store is now connected using the product sets you already built. This is a great way to reuse your setup and keep your catalog consistent across platforms. You can repeat this process any time you want to connect additional listings or stores to your existing product sets.
