Upload from URLs with Artelo: A Simple Way to Import Images
Artelo's Upload from URLs feature makes it easy to add images or folders to your account without needing to download and re-upload files manually. Whether you're transferring files from a cloud service or simply pasting in image links, this tool saves time and streamlines your workflow.
How it Works
The form includes two main sections:
1. Select a Folder to Save Files (Optional)
Choose a destination folder for your uploads. If you don’t pick one, the files will go straight to your root directory on the Uploads page. If you haven’t created folders yet, you’ll see “No folders found.”
2. Paste Your Image or Folder URLs
Add your public image or folder URLs (one per line). Artelo supports:
Image formats: PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, and WEBP
Folder URLs: If supported by your source, Artelo will download all compatible image files from the folder
Click Upload, and the files will be added to your account.
Uploading from URL using Google Drive
Step 1: Make the Folder or File Publicly Viewable
To allow Artelo to access your Google Drive files, they must be publicly viewable.
Open Google Drive.
Right-click the file or folder you want to share.
Click “Share.”
In the window that opens, click “Copy link.”
Change the sharing setting from “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link.”
Ensure it shows Viewer access.
Click Done.
You can turn off sharing again after the upload is complete.
Step 2: Copy the Public URL
For individual files, copy the public link for each.
Step 3: Paste the URL into Artelo
Open the Upload from URLs window in Artelo.
Paste your link(s) into the Public URLs field, one per line.
(Optional) Select a destination folder in Artelo.
Click Upload.
Pro Tip: Bulk Uploading files from Google Drive
Use our Google Drive Bulk Image Upload Tool to fetch your Google Drive files in bulk.
Ensure that:
All the folders you paste into the tool are owned by the same account running the script.
Any URLs grabbed from the sheet are publicly viewable before uploading to Artelo.
