Our templates provide an efficient solution for simplifying the process of creating and connecting your listings with Artelo. This guide will show you how to set up and connect multiple listings.

Why Use Templates?

Templates allow you to quickly upload multiple listings, saving time and ensuring consistency across platforms. By preparing your listing assets and customization options in advance, you can efficiently manage and update your store's inventory.

Example Scenario: Expanding Your Art Print Offerings

Let's say you currently sell vertical, unframed art prints in 12x16 and 16x20 sizes. You want to add 24x36 prints and offer natural and black oak frames for each print in addition to the unframed option. Here's how to connect your current listings while adding additional sizes and framing options:

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Create a Template:

  • Go to the templates section on Artelo and click "Create Template."

  • Choose your stores.

  • Select the product type, such as "Individual Art Print."

  • Add paper type (e.g., cold press), and choose your framing options (unframed, natural, black oak) and sizes (12x16, 16x20, 24x36).

  • Click "Add Products" and name your template.

2. Configure the Template:

  • Skip adding listing images if you plan to use existing ones from your stores.

  • Select a shipping profile and set retail prices.

  • Skip the description if you want to keep the current one in your stores.

  • Finish your template.

3. Connect Listings:

  • Navigate to your Shopify or Etsy store and find the listing you want to connect.

  • Click on the listing and select "Connect to - New Product."

  • Under the “start from an existing template” dropdown, select the template you just created and name the new product.

  • Add designs for each size and finalize the product.

4. Update Variants:

  • Connect/match existing your existing unframed variants (12x16 and 16x20) on the right to the Artelo unframed 12x16 and 16x20 variants on the left.

  • For new sizes (24x36) and framed variants, create new variants by clicking the green plus icon.

  • On the “configure variants” page, use the yellow “edit” button to update the "options" section to include all sizes and frame options. In this example, I’d have to add 24x36 manually. Now, in the size option section, we have 12x16, 16x20, and 24x36 as sizes. Next, press “add new group” underneath, and name it “Framing Options.” Add “black oak frame,” “natural oak frame,” and “unframed,” and hit save.

  • Ensure all variants are correctly matched at the bottom of the page and enter retail prices.

5. Review and Publish:

  • Keep or edit your existing listing details, review changes, approve, and publish the listing.

Scenario 2: Adding New Product Types

Example: If you sell all canvas prints and want to start selling the same designs on 12x16 and 16x20 art prints with black and beige frames, follow a similar process:

1. Create a Template:

  • Go to the templates section on Artelo and click "Create Template."

  • Choose your stores.

  • Select the product type, such as "Individual Art Print."

  • Add paper type (e.g., cold press), and choose your framing options (natural, black oak) and sizes (12x16, 16x20).

  • Click "Add Products" and name your template.

2. Configure the Template:

  • Add more listing images to show customers what the framed art will look like.

  • Since this listing is canvas, you don’t have any existing prints. You’ll need to press “create new variant” for every option using the green “plus icon.”

  • On the “configure variants” page, use the yellow “edit” button to update the "options" section to include all sizes and frame options. In this example, I’d have to add a “size” section and add 12x16 and 16x20 underneath. Next, I’d add “Framing Options.” Add “black oak frame,” “natural oak frame,” and “canvas” and hit save.

  • Ensure all variants are correctly matched at the bottom of the page. Since we had canvas sizes in our listing, we must choose “canvas” from the dropdown in the group column for each of those sizes.

  • Add retail prices.

5. Review and Publish:

  • Keep or edit your existing listing details, review changes, approve, and publish the listing.

You can repeat these steps to connect and expand all your digital listings into physical ones, ensuring your customers have more options and your store's inventory is well-organized.

Conclusion

Using Artelo's templates to connect and update your listings across Etsy and Shopify can significantly enhance your store's efficiency and appeal. By following these steps, you can easily manage multiple listings and offer your customers a broader range of products. Take some time to upload the rest of your listings.
